RemeMbering Mahki bostic

Mahki was a giver with a big heart—someone who instinctively knew how to lift others up. Whether through encouragement on the court or simply making someone smile in passing, he had a way of giving of himself freely. He didn't just show up—he showed up as himself, with warmth and sincerity.

One evening, after dinner out with his mom, Mahki noticed a homeless man near the restaurant. Without hesitation, he offered the leftovers from his meal. When his mom asked why, he simply said, “I’ve never been hungry—I don’t know what that feels like.”

That was who Mahki was. He noticed people others might overlook. He didn’t just care—he acted. Even at a young age, he understood the power of kindness, and he gave it freely. To Mahki, no one was a stranger, and everyone deserved to feel seen.

After Mahki's life was tragically cut short just before his senior year of high school, his family and friends came together to honor his memory. The Mahki Bostic Dream Chasers Foundation carries on his spirit—by helping others chase the same dreams he worked so hard for.
